i am the queen of consistent.

So I’m trying hard to concentrate on writing this email but the guy next to me has country music playing REALLY loud in his headphones and it’s REALLY distracting!!! Ahhh. MAKE IT STOP! Haha

But really, on to the important things….Scott Webb is staying together for yet another transfer! I am convinced that I have the most consistent mission of anyone in all time. I have had each companion for 2 transfers and 2 areas (9 months in the first, and 6 months in the second, by the end of this upcoming transfer).

Okay sooo last week was good.

Let’s do a play by play or a day by day, I guess.

MONDAY:
We painted Kira’s room at the Carey’s! They fed us and then took us out to ice cream afterwards. I LOVE the Carey’s! I feel bad that I’m staying because I’m the reason the sisters are no longer living in their house!! L But we go and visit every week so that she knows that we still LOVE her to death.

TUESDAY:
It started off crazy! We were out of miles for the month. The Hiram sisters were supposed to drive but Sister Houston is training this transfer and she had a meeting in Clevleand to go to right after training meeting….so we were wise and got a ride with Sister Mars to Streetsboro (where the sisters live) and then Sister Carey & Sister Garvin came and picked us up that evening and drove us back to Brimfield. The sweeties!

Well, we were supposed to leave at 6:15 that morning to get to Streetsboro…we woke up to knocking on the door and Sister Mars asking if we wanted to leave at 6:15. We said, “Yeah…what time is it?” “6:20.” GRRREEEEEEEEEEEAT. Love days like that. So it was a stressful beginning but the end was pretty sweet. I came into the lobby of the VC as we were about to leave and I was like “Hey…she looks familiar….” It was DEFINITELY Sister Allred of the General Relief Society presidency!! She’s so tiny and so cute! We talked to her for a few minutes before heading home.

WEDNESDAY:
We had an awesome district meeting, and we practiced contacting. Then in our area, we were stopping by a less-active who we found out no longer lived there and we talked with the people living there, briefly taught them the Restoration and they became new investigators…all in 20 minutes! It was cool to see how applying what we had learned at DM really blessed us!

Later that night we met with Bethany Kainrad (a less-active member, whose husband is not a member) for the first time since Sister Scott got here! She’d been working 2 jobs and really busy. But she was glad we came over. We also took Brother Fortson teaching for the first time. HE WAS AMAZING!!! I’m seriously just blown away by how much he understands the gospel. The Littles are the people that we were seeing. They hadn’t been taught an actual lesson since before I got here but we really felt like we couldn’t drop them but that we needed to see them. It was really good and we are going to back to see them tomorrow.

THURSDAY:
MISTY SHARP CAME TO SEE ME AT THE JOHNSON HOME!!!!!!!!! :) Gosh, it was so good to see her! Sister Scott & I took her on tour of the home and got to explain the restoration. That night, Bethany Kainrad called us and told us that she talked to Sister Morgan (there was all this drama between her and Sister Morgan’s cousin and therefore Sister Morgan herself which was keeping her away from church) and now “she’s definitely coming back to church!” AHHHHHHHHH that was seriously like the biggest miracle of the transfer. This was my favorite day of the week, I think.

Me & MISTY!!!

 FRIDAY:
I set a personal record for the amount of lessons taught in one day….we taught SEVEN lessons! Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not about the numbers, it’s about the people. But it’s amazing to see that when you get to work, you really can accomplish a lot. We saw mostly members that day, seeking more referrals. On Wednesday, as we were walking up to a less-active’s house, I realized how sketchy we are as missionaries. I just like go up and knock on random people’s doors!! If I was just a normal person, I don’t know that I’d let me in! That’s why it’s so crucial to have the members involved.

 SATURDAY:
The only neat thing was that a Youth Conference from Richmond, VA came on tour and some of them knew Sister Kaleigh Niemela (my old roommate from BYU) because she’s serving her mission there. That was really neat.

 SUNDAY:
We had church…so for some strange reason, the three people on my row didn’t get the water part of the sacrament so…they were starting to put it up and I wasn't sure what the procedure would be in the situation to get their attention but I was like “It’s not complete without the water….I NEED THAT WATER!!” Okay, well I didn’t say that but I thought it. So, I speed-walked up to the pulpit and told the Bishop that we didn’t get the water! And then it was taken care of. But it was kind of crazy.

Oh, also, since it was the 5th Sunday and Priesthood and R.S. were combined, Brother Ebie & the sisters taught about creating a family mission plan, or a FMP (pronounced fump). It seemed like everyone was just staring blankly the majority of the time which I HATE!! With a passion. Anyway, we found out it actually went into some of their heads because yesterday…..

 MONDAY:
We went and saw the Barnes after District Meeting and Russell Hensley (Sister Barnes’ younger brother who is like 23 or something) was like, “Hey, I invited 2 of my friends to church next week. I’m doing the FMP.” And we were amazed!! At the Barnes, they had a family friend over who is not a member of the Church and Brianne was like “Maybe I’ll bring Alli to the Johnson Home….I’m FMPing!” Ahaha it’s catching on like crazy!

And then, the roofers came to the Mars home for some reason while we were having our dinner hour and we walked into the kitchen and heard Sister Mars say, “have I ever given you a Book of Mormon?” and then she asked us to grab a Book of Mormon for her friend Randy Dean. WHAT!!! It’s awesome. I hope that the rest of the ward takes it as seriously as these wonderful people are.

I am excited for this next transfer. It should be good. We’ll still be serving at the Johnson Home, which makes me happy and I think we will see wonderful things happen in the next 6 weeks.

This week you should come up with your own personal mission plan. Maybe include a consistent study of the Atonement in there. When we study the Atonement and feel its influence in our lives, we can’t help but have a desire to share that with others.

I love you and I love the gospel and I love the Savior,

 Sister Webb
