| Brr it's cold out here! |
We saw Man’tima and Georgie and Inez Henry last Monday night. I’ve been in Lyndhurst for 5 months now and I hadn’t ever been to the Henry house. We went over and got to know them better. They are sweet people. We told them we want to start teaching them again. We want them to progress! We shall see what ends up happening there.
On Tuesday we went into Kirtland for training meeting and then had district meeting. After lunch, we were back at sites because the training sisters had taken our car into Cleveland for a leadership meeting so that Elder Birkeland could look at it. …Did I tell you that a couple weeks ago the Bishop’s fish tank cleaner backed into it? I can’t remember. Shoot. Well, he did. And now there is a small dent in the front of our car that needs to be fixed. So when we got our car back at 5, we headed out into our area. We had dinner with the Potiker’s and then we helped Sister Jankowski put up her Christmas tree. Sister Jankowski was SO happy that we helped her out. Oh goodness, she is adorable. I just love her so much and want her to be happy! Christmas lights help make her happy so I was glad that we were able to help out with that.

We stopped by for just 20 minutes and saw Joyce Ely which was so nice! We hadn’t seen her in like a week and a half, which is a long time! For the Mayfield ward, I feel like it’s really important for us to get to know the ward better and so we decided that it was important for us to go to the one ward activity that is NOT on Wednesday or Saturday…which was the ward night at the nativities. So…we went into Kirtland! Also, the sisters that serve in Chardon and Chardon West performed in the Messiah that was being put on in their community this past weekend. So on Wednesday, Sister Park & Sister Debenham called and asked if they could switch Sundays with us at sites. We agreed that that would be fine. Then, on Thursday, Sister Lyman & Sister Hansen surprise attacked us and called begging for us to take their shift from 3-9 the next day…. there was no one else to so we did.
So we were in Kirtland Friday from 3-9, Saturday from 10-8:30, and then Sunday from 1-9. CRAZY!!!! We had basically no time in our area. BUT…we were able to give the 2 most incredible tours I’ve ever taken. On Friday, the full-proselyting sisters that serve in Kent- Sister Haycock and Sister Bennett- came in and brought their investigator Julie (who was being baptized the next day!), and Kelly, a member of the singles’ ward that Julie was baptized into. (Fun fact of the day: Sister Bennett was in my French class at BYU freshman year. Neat eh?) Back to the tour…it was just incredible. The school of the prophets was especially memorable. Sister Law shared the testimony of John Murdock and then I felt prompted to invite the missionaries teaching Julie to add theirs. Kelly, the member with them, wanted to share first. She was followed by Sister Bennett and then Sister Haycock invited Julie to share her testimony. She then added her own witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ and I finished with mine. I felt SO MUCH LOVE for Julie. It was crazy!!! She was just beaming with this pre-baptism glow! I’ll attach some pics.

This week I’ve been working on giving the Lord my heart….and I realized that it’s really hard to kill the natural Sister Webb. Sometimes I’m still really selfish! Lameeeeeee. But I am working on it and trying to have the best attitude ever and Heavenly Father is helping me out. I’m so excited to get to talk to y’all in less than 3 weeks!!! YAYAYAY!
Also, I’m stoked for our mission conference that is tomorrow and will be in the Kirtland Temple! How cool is that?! It will be great – I know it!
I love Christmastime and the spirit that is all around! I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love YOU!!!!
Until next week,
Sister Webb
