Well…things are slow in my area but I’ve been working hard and so I feel good. A week ago, we had a birthday party with Man’tima & Reggie at the Howerton’s. I LOVE THEIR FAMILY! It is so hard to see all of these people that I love so much that just are not progressing right now! I’ve really learned a lot about the principle of agency since I’ve come on my mission. I want to force people to read theBook of Mormon, to come to church, to keep the commandments because I know that these are the things that will make them happy but as my district leader would say, “Hi Satan!” Heavenly Father’s plan did not involve us being forced to do anything. That’s the beauty of it all- we get to choose.

We had a new family move into our ward…a part member family. We stopped by and talked with Sister Kerr and her daughter. She told us that her husband’s not a member but that sisters used to teach him when they lived in Pennsylvania. He called them the nuns and he called their car “The Holy Roller”! HA! He sounds like a hoot. I’m excited to meet him!
We taught Joyce about the plan of salvation this week as we were in her store. She’d never heard of it before and thought it was interesting…. I love the plan of salvation because it’s a plan of HAPPINESS. For real. I was talking to a member (who was a convert) at sites this week, and she was saying that it’s so great because everyone gets some degree of glory. She compared the different degrees of glory to a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and PhD. You wouldn’t expect someone with a bachelor’s degree to get the same honor and accolades as someone with a PhD without doing the work! Same sort of concept. I loved the analogy.
Sadly, sometime this week Sister Mayer & I are going to have a DTR with Kia. I’m afraid it looks like we’ll be breaking up. I love that 14 year old more than most but she just is not committed and says she doesn’t know what she wants or feels and we just don’t have time to spend on that right now. RIP MY HEART OUTTTTTTTT.

Have you checked out the new mormon.org? We have been told to take time out of proselyting time to familiarize ourselves with the site. It’s such an amazing missionary tool! In the insert from the January Ensign, the brethren said they have a goal of 100,000 profiles on there by the end of 2011. I love it because it’s a great way to do missionary work without being pushy or invasive. So all those who are over 18 years old, GO MAKE A PROFILE RIGHT NOW. This is a commitment. DO IT. Honestly, miracles have happened because of that website.
Some cool things we’re doing with it is having members of the ward create profiles so that we can show our investigators who’ll pick them up for church, who the Relief Society president is, etc. Sister Mayer & I are making our own profiles tonight at the Messegees. (By the way, have I ever mentioned that I LOVE THEM? I LOVE them! I feel like they are my mission parents…even though Sister Messegee is only 5 years older than me. They are ridiculously awesome.)

Next week, I’ll send you the link to my profile so you can checkkkk it out. We’re meeting with the ward missionaries this week to so that they can get a profile up there. You should just give in and do it because it’s what all the cool kids are doing.
Ummmm let’s see. Well, on Sunday we should hear our fates for the next transfer. I’m pretty sure that Sister Mayer and I will have another transfer together which will have me in Mayfield for half of my mission. Good thing I love it here!
Oh my gosh…one HUGE miracle that I forgot to mention though. BISHOP HARMON INVITED US OVER FOR DINNER! I’ve been in the area for literally 7 ½ months and I’ve never been invited over to their home. I think he’s softening. Hopefully that will help pick the work back up in this dang area!
Well….the gospel is totally true. I love it I love it I love it. You’re the best!
All my love,
Sister Webb
P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEREK!!! I can't believe you're 16. That's scary and weird. Yikes!
