RAVENNAAAAAA :)

Hellooooo everyone!

So I am now officially serving in the area of Ravenna, in the Rootstown ward! There are so many differences between here and Mayfield! First, it’s the out of the Kirtland zone. It’s in the Youngstown stake and zone. Second, there are 2 sets of missionaries in the ward. It’s cool. We get to serve with 2 of the full proselyting sisters, Sister Henry and Sister Nickle. Third, we live with members. Definitely a change but neat. These members happen to have 4 cats….so it’s kind of interesting that they sent me here but I know that President is aware of my allergies sooo we just stay up in our room most of the time we’re at home. Fourth, we only go into Kirtland every Tuesday for training meeting and then we stay at sites all day. (We are hoping that they open the Johnson Home up in the middle of the transfer because we want to serve there!!!)

Also, I AM REUNITED WITH MY MTC LOVE SISTER MCALISTER!!!!!!!! J Holy cow, we about died in transfer meeting… they start announcing the zones from the west to the east….so they do Toledo, Finlay, Cleveland, Akron, Kirtland and then Youngstown. They announced like all of Kirtland and then Sister McAlister and I realized we were the only 2 sisters left and we started freaking out! It’s going to be a great transfer.

But let me tell you about the rest of last week.

Last Monday consisted of craziness. Sister Howerton took SUPER CUTE pics of me and Sister Mayer. If you write me a real letter, I’ll send one to you so you can see how cute they are. J Then we taught lessons and said goodbye to a couple of the people that I was teaching. Tuesday was FULL of goodbyes. I HATE GOODBYES. Man’tima was SO UPSET when I said I was leaving. She was like “April Fools!” but it wasn’t. L She started to cry and said she failed because she hadn’t gotten baptized while Sister Law or I were there…it was really heartbreaking. And now Sister Mayer told me that she’s not being the nicest to them which makes me mad. SHE NEEDS THE GOSPEL SO BADLY! Ughhh.

Anyway, as we were leaving I felt like she needed to get a blessing so we called Elder Saunders and Elder Anderson and they came to her aid. It was really good and helped her to feel peace. I told her I’d get one too so I did. It was so good! It talked about how I need to apply what I learned in Mayfield to my area and as I do, many people will have the desire to be baptized and come closer to Christ. SWEET. Ravenna has so much potential too. I know that Sister McAlister and I are going to BAPTIZE!!! We actually have a baptism happening on Saturday. Tabi, who is 17, has been meeting with missionaries for quite some time but she’s finally gotten her answer and is ready to be baptized. Awesome! She’s a sweetheart.

Anyway, even as I was packing up all my stuff, it didn’t hit me until we left for good Wednesday morning that I would never see that apartment again. SAD DAY! That was my home for half of my mission! I was so nervous at transfer meeting but after I was just so happy to be reunited with my MTC companiera. I started having a cough on Wednesday and my chest was feeling really tight…and that just got worse. On Thursday, I was still able to function and we went out and saw a few people. But I didn’t sleep well at all that night and Friday was bad news. I had like no voice and I was coughing like crazy and I just felt yuck yuck yuck. I called Sis. Sorensen and the mission doctor and was told to stay in.

Dear sweet Sister McAlister like waited on me all day, and made me cheese tortillas and apple cider and brought me water and drugs and she was seriously my little angel. Saturday we took it easy and just watched conference. I coughed all the way through both sessions and felt bad for the other people watching it at the church but what can you do? Yesterday I was finally feeling a little better and I sound closer to normal now, instead of sounding like I’m a chain smoker. I’m still not better…I’m coughing a lot but we’re on the upswing! Keep up the prayers for me, will you?

ALRIGHT. So Conference. How good is it to hear the words of the prophet and apostles? SO GOOD! They are so inspired.
I noticed themes of trials and welfare…what about you?

I think my favorite talk was acutally by Lynn G. Robbins. He talked about Christlike attributes and how we should make a to-be list, instead of just to-do lists. I like that a lot. I’m focusing every week on one Christlike attribute and trying to be better at it. This week is FAITH! It’s a good one.

Anyway, next week I should be able to talk more about people because I’ll have met a lot more but…until then, I LOVE YOU ALL!

Love love,

Sister Webb
