it's not like I've been a missionary over a YEAR now or anything!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

Me & Sister Scott
So, let me just say the Spirit doesn’t lie. I was right! Sister Scott is my new companion. She’s great. She’s from Joplin, Missouri. She doesn’t like to say that because everyone always asks the questions that you’re thinking. Let me answer them for you: her family is fine. Her neighborhood is one of the only that wasn’t destroyed. They didn’t even lose power. She’s been out for almost 9 months and has served in 4 areas and had like 8 companions so she’s way ahead of me in both those aspects. But things are good. I knew that anything would be harder after Sister McAlister because our companionship just came so naturally. But, I’m a firm believer in the Messegee’s motto: hard is not equal to bad! And we’re getting to know each other more and learn each other’s teaching styles so things are getting less hard.

companions in KIRTLAND!
We took Sister Golightly and her family (who came to pick her up from her mission) on tour on Thursday. GOSH she’s so great! I was obviously never her companion but she’s made a big impact on my mission. She’s one of the most purpose driven missionaries I’ve ever met. I totally broke down in the kitchen of the Johnson home telling her family that she was great and that it was amazing to see all of them here to support her and her mom got up and was like “Oh, you need a mom hug!! Come here!” It was sweet.

Me, Sister Golightly & Sister Scott at the Johnson Home
Things with our investigators have been awesome this week!
-We taught Amanda about revelation through church attendance. She really seemed to get it! She was in South Carolina this weekend so she wasn’t actually at church but it was a pretty legit reason. She will be there next Sunday! I know it.

-We taught the Barnes family and it was so cool. Sister Scott just happened to pick up a Russian Book of Mormon in the Smith house before she was transferred and Royal actually learned Russian in the air force. So, yesterday he read like 8 verses in the BoM which is probably more than he’s read for YEARS. And he couldn’t stop! We had to interrupt because we had another appointment to be at! It was amazing!!! We really are hoping to get Hailey baptizedddd. Brianne yesterday said to Royal, “We really need to get the kids their own set of scriptures.” YES!

-Tabi (who was baptized in April) is doing so good! Gosh, I love her SO much! She is a little rock. She went to girls’ camp this year as a YCL and she loved it. She’s just so strong to be 17 and the only member in her family and she’s wonderful.
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain. Name that Primary song!
-Speaking of strong, young converts, Dee Manning went off to BYU this past week. And, WE STARTED TEACHING HER MOM!!! Her mom wants to know what it is Dee believes. We explained our purpose as missionaries and taught her briefly on Friday and we have a return appointment for next Friday. HOORAYYYYYYYYYYY

Brother Ebie (our ward mission leader) is like “Man, you’re like Jedi missionaries! You teach the impossible, the hard-hearted and they just listen like ‘yes, I will be baptized’” Hahaha I wish that was the case. But the Spirit really does work miracles. It’s AMAZING!!

We are going to focus on member missionary work this transfer….fully and less active members alike. We want to strengthen members as missionaries! I know that this is the direction Heavenly Father wants us to take and I’m excited to see how he will bless the Rootstown ward for being more missionary minded.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I’m so grateful for a Savior who performed an infinite and eternal Atonement that we might all be able to speak to our Father while we’re here and live with our Father again once we are on the other side. Jesus Christ is REAL. I know that He lives. He helps us EVERY DAY. Look for His help and ask for it. You’ll begin to see it more and more.
Love your guts!

Sister Webb
